| Aldo and Luca Degani have produced a superbly rich and balanced Amarone from their family estate in Marano di Valpolicella. Sweetly scented nose, reminescent of an aged Banyuls wine, with notes of black cherry clafoutis. Creamy, warm texture on the palate with black fruit mingling with fruit stone. The palate is huge, with the high alcohol content perfectly balanced by a racy acidity and silky tannins. One of the very best Amarone we have tasted this year. |
