Jean-Philippe Serviere and Philippe Salasc (ex-Domaine Capion owner) run this excellent 26-ha estate in Lunel, near Montpellier. The vineyards stand on poor soils, covered with rolled galets, very similar to Chateauneuf du Pape, with the added advantage of a sea influenced climate.
The style is for dense, exuberant and perfectly balanced wines offering exceptional value.
Grange Philippe Merlot - V.D.P d’Oc. Pure, clean merlot fruit on the nose, plum, blackberry with a touch of earthiness. Round, soft with lots of juicy dark berry fruit and lifted dark cherry on the palate.
