Jean-Philippe Serviere and Philippe Salasc (ex-Domaine Capion owner) run this excellent 26-ha estate in Lunel, near Montpellier. The vineyards stand on poor soils, covered with rolled galets, very similar to Chateauneuf du Pape, with the added advantage of a sea influenced climate.
The style is for dense, exuberant and perfectly balanced wines offering exceptional value.
GRES SAINT PAUL, ROMANIS, COTEAUX DU LANGUEDOC AC: 60% Syrah with Grenache and Mourvedre.
Very profound and dense aromas of sweet cherry, blackcurrant with a touch of spices. Round, soft palate exhibiting tons of ripe, delicious fruit, bacon fat and hints of coffee. Soft, yet firm tannins.
