| I FEUDI DI ROMANS (LORENZON), MERLOT ISONZO The Lorenzon family 170-ha vineyard is located in the Isonzo DOC zone in south-eastern Friuli. The influence of New Zealander winemaker Matt Thomson has been felt in the wines since he started working here in the 1999 vintage. This Merlot is very upfront and fruity, with amazing depth for the price. Deeply flavoured – plum, blackcurrant and a touch earthy – it ends with round, soft juiciness. |
