| ISOLE E OLENA, CHIANTI CLASSICO: Paolo De Marchi produces exceptional wines from his World famous estate. Paolo’s vineyards are superbly tended; his team relentlessly work in the vineyards leaf plucking and crop thinning in order to channel the vines’ energies into ripening the healthiest grapes. His superb Chianti classico, a blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Syrah, has a light but brilliant ruby colour that gives way to an alluring, Pinot-like nose and soft, accessible fruit on the palate. In fact, it is so quaffable that one glass leads to the next alarmingly quickly. |
