This estate was officially born in 2002, when Domaine Lucien Boillot was split between brothers Louis and Pierre. Louis Boillot inherited vineyards in both Cotes de Nuits and Cote de Beaune and has moved his cellar with his wife Ghislaine Barthod of Chambolle-Musigny fame. Boillot had a flying start with his 2002 vintage and we were really impressed with the 2003 and 2004 barrel-samples. Expect great things from here!
"Very expressive on the nose - black cherry, blueberry and cassis with discreet, well-integrated oak. The palate is richly textured, well-structured ending with ripe, silky tannins."
