Luxembourg has a long tradition of making wine (since late Roman times).
The climate is one of the coolest in Europe for winemaking.
Domaine Mathis Bastian, a regular visitor to the Guide Hachette, comprises 11 hectares of vines on chalky soil located on the exposed slopes of Remich Primerberg overlooking the Moselle.
This light-coloured Pinot Noir is fragrant, with typical raspberry, strawberry flavours enhanced by delicate oak and vanillin. The palate has plenty of cherry and red berries envelopped in a light, satisfying structure.
