Olivier Merlin is widely regarded as being one of the very finest wine makers in the Mâconnais. He began in 1987 by renting 4.5ha. from Domaine du Vieux St Sorlin. Since then he has been buying the property in stages as well as adding new vineyards such as St Véran.
"Fresh on the nose with ripe apple and minerals, this delicious Macon is light to medium-bodied, concentrated, and silky-textured. Entirely fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, it shows lots of lively citrus and apple fruit with a definite mineral character."
