L`Etoile is a tiny appellation (80-ha) which obtained AOC status in 1937. Domaine Rolet owns a 3-ha plot of old Chardonnay vines there, grown on well-exposed, Liassic marl soils. Matured in oak barrels, this wine is full-bodied with intense flavours of fresh fruit, green apple hazelnut and of roasted almond. It ends with delicious floral notes and is very persistent.
