A family business since 1781, Sanchez Romate produce premium sherries from their own vineyards, 100 ha on some of the best sites in the Jerez region. At the turn of the 20th century they were appointed Purveyors to the Royal Family of Spain, to the Vatican and to the House of Lords. The Reserves Especiales and La Sacristia de Romate sherries are the top ranges produced by the company.
Notes from the winery:"Dry smooth, with amber hues. The lasting fragrance is reminescent of peanuts. It is made from a Fino which later undergoes a second ageing period, but without the yeast layer. The complex ageing results in one of the finest sherries, a superb complement to starters, especially those which are marinated in vinegar."
