A family business since 1781, Sanchez Romate produce premium sherries from their own vineyards, 100 ha on some of the best sites in the Jerez region. At the turn of the 20th century they were appointed Purveyors to the Royal Family of Spain, to the Vatican and to the House of Lords. The Reserves Especiales and La Sacristia de Romate sherries are the top ranges produced by the company.
Notes from the winery:" This after-dinner wine par excellence is made from Pedro Ximenez grapes, harvested when very ripe and left out in the sun to attain a higher concentration of sugar. The result is a delicately excquisite, dark coloured wine with a sweet flavour and a velvety texture."
