| The winery is run by Martin Shaw, one of the pioneering Australia`s flying winemakers, and Michael Hill-Smith, Australia`s first Master of Wine. These two have always made great wines. The wine is spicy yet ripe, with superb elegance & balance - a thoroughly modern Aussie Shiraz. As Jancis Robinson says: “…by far Shaw & Smith’s most exciting red to date is a brand new one…this relatively delicate Shiraz is miraculously smooth and round, rather more Rhône-like than stereotypically Australian, may not age all that long but is already gulpably delicious.” |
