Shaw & Smith is a collaboration of cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW. The wines are all produced from Adelaide Hills fruit, most of it from their estate vineyards. Their first vintage was in 1990
The Chardonnay “M3 Vineyard” is medium straw-colored. It offers up notes of toast, honeysuckle, white peach, and pear. Made in an elegant, restrained style, the wine is nicely balanced and should evolve for several years. It will show even better accompanied by Dover sole. Wine Advocate 91pts
